I am Ramla Aden, a Resident in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I graduated from George Mason University with a bachelor degree in Psychology with minor in communication. I completed her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Grand Canyon University. My personal goal in life is to guide , educate, and support clients on the significance of mental health and self-care, assist with elimination of mental health taboos, and discrimination regarding therapy and medication along with encouraging positivity and self-acceptance. I am culturally competent therapist who speaks second language (Somali). The counseling approaches I use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Brief-Solution-Focused Therapy., Motivational Interviewing, Psycho/education. I provide services to adults from ages 18-65+. I am trained in Addiction counseling and facilitating psycho-education Addiction groups with adults. During my spare time , I enjoy spending time with family, friends, traveling, cycling ,comedy /romantic/action movies, and learning about new things to grow as an individual.
