EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help individuals heal from trauma, distressing memories, and overwhelming life experiences. EMDR allows the brain to reprocess painful events in a way that reduces their emotional charge, helping individuals feel more in control and less triggered by the past. This approach is especially helpful for those experiencing symptoms related to PTSD, anxiety, grief, or childhood trauma. Through gentle guidance and bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or tapping, EMDR supports the brain’s natural healing process, helping individuals gain clarity, emotional relief, and renewed strength.
Other Trauma-Informed Approaches
While EMDR is one of our core trauma treatment modalities, we also offer a range of other trauma-informed interventions to meet clients where they are. Grounding techniques are often used to help individuals manage distress in the moment and reconnect with a sense of safety. Narrative therapy creates space for clients to reshape their story and find strength in their voice, while expressive arts therapy offers a creative outlet for processing emotions and experiences that may be hard to express verbally. Our trauma care is always tailored to the individual, integrating evidence-based practices with compassion, curiosity, and respect for each person’s journey toward healing.
